Our Tanz die Toleranz projects are starting a new semester and we are looking forward to welcoming as many dancers of all ages as possible back to the studios!!! Information is also available online: www.tanzdietoleranz.at
The goal of Tanz die Toleranz is to make it possible for all people - regardless of talent, experience, age, gender, skin color, ethnicity or social background - to have access to the art form of dance. In doing so, the social component is on an equal footing with the artistic one. All projects are free of charge.
AT THE BRUNNENPASSAGE:
On Wednesday 21.September 2022, from 15.30 to 16.45, the kick off of the contemporary dance project "KinderTanzKlasse" will take place in the Brunnenpassage. On this day there is the possibility for children between 7 and 12 years old to join. An additional taster session for the KinderTanzKlasse will take place on Wednesday 28 September.
From 17.00 to 19.00, the kick off of the contemporary dance project "Youth Dance" will take place in the Brunnenpassage. This project is suitable for young people between 13 and 23 years of age.
And interested from 24 years old can learn the basics of contemporary dance in a stimulating and versatile way in "Adult Dance". Weekly on Wednesdays from 19:00 to 21:00 starting 21. September 2022. Due to the high demand for places, we kindly ask for a letter of motivation by 15. September 2022.
Every Saturday there will be the possibility to try different dance styles again! From Saturday 24.September 2022 "Saturdance" starts again. Presented are dance styles from hip hop to salsa and Bollywood to contemporary!
IN THE BROTFABRIK:
On Thursday 29. September 2022, from 15:00 to 16:15, the dance project "DancingKids" starts in the Brotfabrik. Here children between 5 and 10 years old can join. The children will learn different dance styles and try out different rhythms. At the end of the project, a choreography will be performed.
**NEW**
From Monday, 19. September 2022 to 12. December 2022 always from 18:30 to 20:00 our project "Hip Hop" will take place in the Brotfabrik. In this project you will work on different movement qualities. By practicing isolations, drills and "party steps" your individual movement vocabulary will be expanded. The main focus is to have fun with the music. At the end of the project, a sharing will take place.
Due to the necessary measures to carry out the dance projects during the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of participants* may be limited.

On Tuesday, 20 September 2022 there will be an audition for the next production led by choreographer Anna Possarnig. Rehearsals will take place twice a week, starting 27 September, on Tuesdays and Fridays at the Kulturhaus Brotfabrik.
If you are between 14 and 26 years old, are interested in improving your dance technique, would like to develop your skills in contemporary dance and enjoy artistic exchange with others, please apply today! Experience in contemporary dance or another dance genre, but above all motivation, commitment, reliability and punctuality are required! We will be dancing in the young tanz_labor, playing theater, and developing our own small dance piece around the ballet Sleeping Beauty.
Special highlight: We will go to a ballet performance together and are visited by artists of the Vienna State Ballet.
The project is free of charge and is aimed at everyone between the ages of 7-12. No previous dance knowledge is required.
Kick-off: 3. October 2022, Kulturhaus Brotfabrik.
Weekly rehearsals: every Monday 17-18:15, Kulturhaus Brotfabrik.
Final Showing: 14. December 2022

Tabula rasa, the blank page, is the inspiration for the piece development of tanz_labor. Here we dance and improvise together. The choreographies developed from this are brought to the stage with live music.
Visits to the ballet and meeting artists from the Vienna State Ballet are part of the tanz_labor. The project is free of charge and is aimed at all those interested in dance between the age of 15 and 24. Previous dance experience is not required.

Rehearsals: every Thursday 18:30-20:30, Kulturhaus Brotfabrik.
