- Challenge 1 Digital Human Rights – Three teams will compete against each other!
- Challenge 2 Integration and Diversity – Five teams will compete against each other!
- Challenge 3 Sufficiency Toolkit – Three teams will compete against each other!
At the bottom of the email, you will find the team names and participants. Please check carefully that your name and team assignment are correct. Please also note that some Challenges have more competing teams than others.
Opening Event – Important Information
- Date: Monday, 19 January
- Time: 5:30 PM
- Location: CEU Auditorium
Attendance
- It is obligatory that at least one team member attends the opening event.
- If you have not yet registered, please do so here: Kick-off Event of the CEU Hackathon for Social Impact | CEU Events.
- If you can only attend partially (due to classes, etc.) and no other team member can be present, please email us in advance and let us know when you can arrive.
- You are welcome to bring along CEU friends.
Programme & Meeting the Challenge Providers
- Please find the programme of the opening event attached.
- The purpose of the event is to meet and get to know the Challenge Providers.
- After short introductions, we will divide into three groups (Challenges 1, 2, and 3), where you can ask questions directly.
- You may wish to ask, for example:
- What format they prefer for solutions (e.g. visual digital toolkit, policy brief, data visualisation, etc.).
To ensure fairness:
- All teams will have another joint opportunity to meet the Challenge Providers at the end of February or early March to report on progress and ask further questions.
- If the Challenge Providers agree to answering email questions, these must be sent only via your coordinators, so that they are not overwhelmed.
- Please do not contact the Challenge Providers directly or individually.
Accreditation
- If you would like to accredit your Hackathon participation, please contact Yuki Seidler (seidlery@ceu) individually or as a group (if you are from the same programme) to make an appointment.
- Please do not ask logistics or accreditation-related questions during the opening event, as this time should be used to engage with your Challenge Partner.
Media Notice
The Hackathon is organised as part of the CEU 35th Anniversary, and photos and videos will be taken during the event as well as throughout the competition.

- 15 March – Deadline to submit solutions (one submission per team; multiple files allowed)
- 26 March – Final pitching and announcement of the winner
