In order to kick off the new academic year in welcoming fashion, the Community Engagement Office is organizing the CEU Item Swap event to be held on Friday, September 9, 2022 at 1:30 pm at ANKERSAAL Kulturhaus Brotfabrik (Absberggasse 27, Stiege 3, 2. Stock, A-1100 Vienna).
The event is intended to support incoming students by providing an opportunity to pick up useful household items donated by the CEU community. The event is also a great opportunity for the CEU community to meet and familiarize with the incoming students of other departments and schools.
We invite you to stick around to interact with new students and enjoy good conversation.
How does it work?
Drop off the good quality items you wish to donate from Tuesday to Thursday, September 6-8, 2022 between 10 am and 5 pm at QS room A606.
Listed are a few suggestions of items which can be donated:
- Kitchenware (pots, plates, cutlery, mugs, glasses, etc)
- Small appliances (lamps, toasters, blenders, juicers, etc)
- Stationery items
- Backpacks, Winter items (throws, blankets, cushions)
- Sports equipment, Outdoor Gear & Yoga mats
- Functioning mobile telephones
- Home décor (picture frames, candles, small decorative items, etc), Small plants
Please note that these items should be in good condition and clean.
All items which are not claimed during the event will be donated afterwards to a charity organization.
What not to bring:
Please note that we do not accept shoes and clothes donations!
Please note that CEU only provides the venue, but will not warrant to the students accepting the items donated by you that such items are fit for use and will not assume any liability for such items nor for their use. CEU shall have no responsibility for any injury, damage, expense or loss to any person or property caused by or arising from the use or possession of donated items.
