The Host Family Project (HFP) is an initiative promoted by the Student Services Office to connect CEU students with CEU Faculty and Staff, on a voluntary basis, within their free time to support and build a community for students who are away from their home.
The primary purpose of CEU´s host family project is to promote cultural exchange, foster cross-cultural understanding, and create opportunities for learning and personal growth. Students may find new friendships amongst CEU´s community and vice versa. Language exchange and a home far away from home feeling are the goals of this project.
The project’s goal is to foster open society values through dialogue and exposure to different cultures and perspectives and increase CEU community engagement in Budapest and Vienna.
CEU Host Family participants are open to new ideas, inclusive, supportive, value diversity, promote equality and respect the rights and dignity of all members of the society.
